FBT Options

General Settings Configure the Frequently Bought Together (FBT) widget for LearnDash courses using either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads (EDD). Customize display options including widget position, course thumbnails, ratings, and product/course details. Additional FBT-specific settings will appear based on the selected integration. To configure the Frequently Bought Together settings for your LearnDash site, follow these steps: Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard. In the left-hand menu, navigate to: LearnDash LMS > Settings On the Settings page, locate and click the Frequently Bought Together tab or section. This will open the plugin’s configuration area. Make sure to click Save Changes after updating any settings to apply them to your site. Choose Frequently Bought Together (FBT) Configuration This setting allows you to select which eCommerce platform the Frequently Bought Together plugin should integrate with. You must choose one of the following based on how you sell your courses: WooCommerce Use this option if you’re selling LearnDash courses through WooCommerce. Cart and checkout behavior will be managed by WooCommerce. Supports WooCommerce product thumbnails, pricing rules, and review systems. Easy Digital Downloads (EDD) Use this if your LearnDash courses are sold using Easy Digital Downloads. Enables the FBT widget to appear on EDD product pages. Integrates with EDD-specific features like receipts, purchase confirmation emails, and EDD product ratings. Note: You must select one platform based on your current LearnDash eCommerce setup. When WooCommerce is selected When EDD is selected Display enroll count for the course Shows a count of users (who enrolled for that course) next to each course in the Frequently Bought Together widget. FBT Widget Title Use this setting to give a suitable heading to your Frequently Bough Together widget The FBT Widget Title and Display Enroll Count settings control how information appears on the front end. The custom widget title displays at the top of the Frequently Bought Together section, and each course shows its enrollment count, giving learners a sense of how popular the course is. Note: When a non-course product is included in the widget, the enrollment count is not shown for that item. FBT Widget Display This setting helps you select the way in which you want to show your Frequently Bought Together widget on the course page. The default setting is “After Course Description”. This will show the widget just below the course description. If you want to show the widget at a different position on the course page, then you can choose the “Using Shortcode” option. You can copy the shortcode and place it anywhere on the LearnDash course page. After Course Description This option allows if want the Frequently Bought Together widget static to specific position i.e after course description. Using ShortCode ( [ldfbt_frequently_bought_product] ) This option gives freedom to choose any position on the LearnDash course page only to display Frequently Bought Together widget.
1. Choose Thumbnail Source for Course Select which image should be shown in the FBT widget. Product Thumbnail: Displays the image set in the product (WooCommerce/EDD) thumbnail field. Course Feature Image: Displays the featured image assigned to the linked LearnDash course. Useful when you want consistency between your course listings and the FBT widget visuals. 2. Show Skill Description Enable this to display the skill-level or summary information about the course. It will pull content from the Skill Description field in the course description metabox. 3. Show Authors Enable this to show the course author(s) in the FBT widget. It uses the value filled in the Authors field from the course description metabox. 4. Show Course Details Toggle this setting to include more in-depth information about the course. This pulls data from the Course Details field from the course description metabox. 5. Show Product Short Description Enable this to include the short description of the associated product. For WooCommerce, it uses the content from the “Product Short Description” metabox. For EDD (Easy Digital Downloads), it pulls from the “Excerpt” field. 6. Show Ratings If enabled, course ratings will be displayed within the FBT widget. You can choose the source of the ratings using the next option. 7. Choose Rating Source for Course Select the plugin or method used to fetch and display course ratings: Product Ratings: Pulls directly from the WooCommerce/EDD product rating system. LearnDash Course Reviews (Plugin): Integrates with third-party plugin that manages LearnDash course reviews. LearnDash LMS – Ratings, Reviews and Feedback (Plugin): Uses the official or custom LearnDash review/feedback plugin to fetch detailed ratings. These control which course details appear in the FBT widget. Reset Course and Product Description Metabox Fields On Plugin Deactivation If you enable this setting, then course and product description metabox values will reset on frequently bought plugin deactivation.
Show FBT Widget on WooCommerce Product page: If you enable this setting, FBT widget will also show up on the corresponding WooCommerce product page that is associated with your LearnDash course. Discount Label: you can choose the label for the discount in woocommerce cart  the default Discount label is Total Discount you can change this label as per your liking eg Learners Discount (This is available only with WooCommerce)
WooCommerce FBT Setting This setting field lets you control the display of the Frequently Bought Together (FBT) widget on product pages for products associated with a course. It allows you to display recommended items alongside the main product, helping users discover related offerings. Show FBT Widget on WooCommerce Product page If you enable this setting, FBT widget will also show up on the corresponding WooCommerce product page that is associated with your LearnDash course. This layout shows how the Frequently Bought Together (FBT) widget is integrated into a WooCommerce product page. It highlights related or course-linked products beside the main product, allowing users to view details, pricing, and easily add all items to the cart. Discount Label You can choose the label for the discount in woocommerce cart the default Discount label is Total Discount you can change this label as per your liking eg Learners Discount (This is available only with WooCommerce)
