Getting Started With ASDLD

The Assignment Deadline Time Table is a front-end shortcode that provides learners with a centralized view of all their assignment deadlines across enrolled courses. This dashboard offers a clear and organized timeline of upcoming due dates, helping students stay on top of their assignments and manage their time effectively. Dashboard Shortcode and Page: Upon installing or updating the plugin, a page titled Assignment Deadline Time Table will be automatically created. This page will contain the shortcode [asdld_deadline_time_table], which displays the Assignment Deadline Time Table. Access and Permissions: Students: Can access courses enrolled by the user, allowing them to view all assignment deadlines for enrolled courses. Dashboard Components Overview: The Assignment Deadline Time Table dashboard is composed of key interactive components that help users filter and view their assignment deadlines effectively. Below is an overview of the components included in this interface: Course Selection The dashboard includes a dropdown menu that allows users to select any course they are enrolled in. Once a course is selected, all relevant assignment deadlines associated with that course will be displayed in the timetable. Deadline Time Table The Deadline Time Table displays a comprehensive list of assignments along with their respective deadlines. It provides the following features to enhance usability: Assignment Deadlines: Clearly lists the due dates for each assignment in the selected course, helping students stay on top of their workload. Search and Sort Functionality: Users can easily sort the table by the nearest deadlines to prioritize urgent tasks. A search bar is also available for quickly locating deadlines based on assignment or topic names.
Managing Shortcode Integration Settings The Shortcode Integration Settings feature simplifies the process of embedding assignment-related dashboards into your LearnDash site. By navigating to LearnDash LMS > Settings > Assignment Deadlines for LearnDash > Shortcode Page Settings, admins and group leaders can assign specific pages for automatic shortcode placement. This eliminates the need to manually insert shortcodes and ensures that both the Assignment Deadline Management Dashboard and the Assignment Deadline Time Table are displayed seamlessly on the selected pages.
